Metalurgia Peruana S.A. MEPSA was legally constituted in May 12th, 1960. In 1963 it begins, in charge of the Graña y Montero building company, the construction of our plant in the old Civic Guard’s training camp.

On July 1st 1964, MEPSA begins its operations. In that year, there were, in the country, many small and middle-sized foundries. However, MEPSA was the first steel foundry to operate on a large scale. Large, foreign-origin furnaces were installed and the staff was qualified by specialist engineers from The United States and England.

In 2005, we achieved an historical change in the deepest of our structure. We developed a great commitment level between the company and its collaborators and formed one entity, a group of Peruvians called MEPSA

Utilities must increase through the course of time and for that to happen we have the best products and services in the market, so that we can always offer our clients a product that adds value.

The most important asset we have is the people that make MEPSA a leader company in the metallurgy industry. Therefor, we create conditions for them to improve permanently their development in personal, professional and economical ways

Companies cannot develop when the surrounding environment doesn’t. To make that happen we contribute in two ways:

• - Not generating negative remainders such as pollution.
• - Collaborating with the initiatives of the communities on
    making projects that help improve their development,   especially in education.
